Woven - Summer Study

Happy Monday morning, ladies. I hope you had a restful weekend. I pray you were able to dive into those sermons. I believe they each have such great perspective on the Garden. One of my favorite things about Bible study is having teachers force me to look at scripture that I’d normally rush through to see something I would have missed.

Read: Chapter 3 of Woven

Journal: Again, take the time to read carefully. As you read, write out questions in your journal if you have them. Take notes of things that are surprising to you or that make you think. This week, we will be looking at some large (and important) sections of scripture; the flood, Babel, and Job. I’m so looking forward to it. Once again, we will have the opportunity to walk away from reading stories we’ve read before with new insight and instruction. Maybe I’m just a Bible nerd, but this makes me very happy.

Because we will cover so much ground this week, I want today’s prayer time to really invite the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. You are welcome to use the prayer below if my words mirror your heart for study. Or, feel free to write out your own prayer in your journal. Ladies, it’s such a JOY to study God’s Word with you. Thank you so much for joining me.

Father God, I know that You have good plans for me, and those plans begin with growing in the knowledge of You. I pray that You’d open my mind and my heart to know You more as I sit to study during this week. I invite You, Holy Spirit, to enter into that space and to uncover new truths about You and Your Word. I don’t want the routine of what I’ve always known and always understood to prevent me from really hearing You speak from Your Word and into the heart of my own circumstances and situations. Search me and know my heart. Test me and know my anxioux thoughts. See if there is any unrighteousness in me and lead me into the everlasting way (Ps. 139: 23-24).
