Is it just me or are our Summer Friday's coming way too quickly?

Even though I love to use the word "favorite" when talking about scripture, I've never overused it with the book of Judges. Y'all, it's just so difficult to read.

I don't know the judges very well. But, I do love to study one of them. Gideon, from Judges 6 and 7, is one of my favorite stories to read.

Gideon was another unlikely hero. Timid and insecure, Gideon is definitely a judge that I could identify with.

Today, I'm sharing a great communicator. It's an older sermon, but Levi Lusko does a great job telling the story of Gideon.

I want to pray for you as you listen and study. I want to ask God to bless your time of study as well as your time of rest over the weekend. You are doing a fantastic job. Stick with your study, ladies. I'll see you Monday.

Dear God, thank you for the opportunity to study with so many wonderful women. Bless their time today. Multiply their efforts and connect their hearts with Your Word. I pray that You'd throw open the doors of our hearts and teach us more than we'd planned for. Over this weekend, I pray that you'd cause a strong peace and rest to land on the hearts of all of our Soul Sisters. Bring us back together on Monday! We are grateful for our time together.
