Woven

This week is going to be full of family stories. As you read Angie's summary of the families of the Patriarchs, I hope you'll be as encouraged as I am that these are real life people with major real life problems. Clearly, God can do His work within dysfunctional families. Goodness.... I'm grateful!

Read - Woven, chapter 5.

We've been doing this a little while now, and I believe you probably know the drill. In your journal, write about anything that stands out to you. We will spend the week talking about Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. I hope you'll enjoy reading about all of them today.

Remember, these are the families of Abraham. They are the ones God promised to Abraham and Sarah. Take your time reading! All of these names provide the background we'll need as we continue through the Bible.

God, thank you so much for your Word. I'm so grateful that You chose to let us read about the difficulty, the dysfunction, and the drama. Since it's in the Bible and within the families You chose, we can all live with hope for our own lives. We have a lot of ground to cover this week. Give us clarity as we read and help us each to take away the lessons You want us to learn.
