Thankful In All Circumstances

Wednesday, November 17, 2021 Kathy Vollmar Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9 When I saw the post asking for writers on Thankfulness, I told Madelaine I could not help but share of His faithfulness over the last 20 months. Many of you will know of the health issues that started just days after we were told that we needed to put the brakes on everything we knew to be normal. After many visits to the doctor’s office, on April 31st, 2020 I quickly experienced God’s faithfulness as I called out to Him from an ER bed after being told they believed I had a pulmonary embolism and to be as still as possible. In that moment His peace hovered over me like a warm blanket and I knew no fear. He was and is my faithful God. I was told by the nurse and the doctor that I had had my miracle. Nine months later Ron was hospitalized for 22 days with covid and double pneumonia and I have to say it the peace I had in April was a little harder to come by, but in my heart of hearts, I knew that God’s Divine presence was with us in every step: getting Ron to the right hospital, have a new Dr on his case a critical moment. When things turned around in a matter of days he went to rehab where they anticipated his being there 3 weeks and being on oxygen the rest of his life. He was NEVER on oxygen after being transferred from the ambulance and was in the woods scouting for deer in 8 days. God was not through writing our story. October 2019, our church closed and that is hard on a preacher. We eventually joined another church and went to work. Ron continued to believe that God had not finished with him, and we are experiencing His faithfulness once again. Four weeks ago, Ron was called to be pastor of a small, sweet, sweet, fellowship about 15 minutes from us. We knew on the first visit that God had placed us where He wants us to be and we could not be any happier as we look forward to what HE will do in Bonita through Bonita Baptist Church as we continue to love and keep HIS commandments. Dear Lord, I praise you and thank you that you are the Lord our God, our Faithful God. There is no other like you. You love us like no other and we can trust that you are always with us in every circumstance that we face daily. Lord, I pray that you will open our eyes and our hearts helping us to see your faithfulness that is with us and the blessings you give us each day. Guide and help us as we share that faithfulness, that we will be a blessing to others. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen Reschedule Post Post Now
