Songs for the Season—Day 2
How Many Kings – Downhere
2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
Lyrics:
How many kings step down from their thrones? How many lords have abandoned their homes? How many greats have become the least for me? And how many gods have poured out their hearts To romance a world that is torn all apart? How many fathers gave up their sons for me? Only one did that for me
Dear Mighty King,
We praise you that you are the most high King and that we are your daughters. There is nothing too difficult for you. There is no ruler, authority or king higher than you. There is no one who can do all that you do; and there is no one who would give up all that you gave up for us. Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus, your only son and our Savior. Help us focus on his arrival during this Advent season and exalt you as King of kings! Amen
