Mary Did You Know – sung by Danny Gokey

Isaiah 35:3-6

Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong, fear not! Behold your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God, he will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute shall sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

Luke 2:16-19

And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart.

Lyrics

“Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water? Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters? Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.”

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again The lame will leap, the dumb will speak the praises of the lamb!

Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation? Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations? Did you know that your baby boy is Heaven's perfect Lamb? That sleeping child you're holding is the great I am

Dear Lord,

What Mary did not know the night she first embraced the Son of God, we now fully know through the unveiling of your holy word. Jesus, as you lived out your days on the earth, we by faith proclaim to all the world that you did give sight to the blind, you did calm the storm, and you did walk on water. We believe that through you, God incarnate, the dead will rise again! The newborn babe that Mary delivered has indeed delivered! Jesus, thank you for your extreme measure of love. You are the Savior. You are the Shepherd. You are the King. You are…the great I AM. This season we chose to “treasure all these things, pondering them in our hearts.” Amen
