"Practically Divine" - Week 2

You’ve done great work this week, ladies. I am very thankful for people like Becca Stevens that are willing to tell the whole truth about the parts of life that aren’t pretty. While this chapter was difficult to read, it reminded me that life is hard! We simply aren’t getting out of this life without some scars.

BUT, “what man intends for evil, God will use for good…. (Genesis 50:20). He’s done it in Becca’s life. He’s doing it in the lives of many women at Thistle Farms. And, He will do it for us when we stretch out our lives and let Him have all of it.

I am sharing a YouTube teaching from Curt Thompson today. I need to tell you that Curt is DEEP, and Curt is a little dry. However, his wisdom and insight concerning shame and trauma is amazing.

I haven’t faced the difficulty that Becca shared. But, I’ve experienced trauma. We all have, because SIN is trauma. We were made in God’s image for the perfection of the Garden. We weren’t created for sin, so we are traumatized by it.

I encourage you to listen carefully to Curt’s message. Take notes if you want to. Then, ask God how our study this week along with this message on trauma can be used to heal and transform.

Spend some time in prayer today.

I will see you on Monday! I’m praying for you all, because I believe there is deep healing work God wants to do in all of us this summer.
