Monday, December 6 Music and the Messiah Day 6 Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 11:1 Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots will bear fruit. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who is every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Emmanuel – Hannah Kerr He was not the one we thought would come. We were looking for a King But He didn't come in glory. The Author of the oceans and the sun Still he chose to be Written in our story So He could fill our flesh and blood And we could know His love Emmanuel, A manger for a bed No crown upon His head He came like us instead Emmanuel, He meets you where you are He holds your heavy heart Our God is with us all Emmanuel, Emmanuel It was no mistake that He arrived Lost without a home Helpless as a baby So if we're feeling lost in our own lives We are not aloneHe has felt the same thing Because he lived in flesh and blood We can know His love Heavenly Father, We praise You for sending Your son to us. We were looking for a king , instead you sent a precious child to walk this earth with mankind eventually giving His life to become Savior of the World. Please forgive us as we confess sometimes we take this miracle for granted. Thank You for loving us when we fall short . In this Christmas season, help us keep the original priceless Gift in the forefront our minds each time we bring a gift to another. Amen Song Link:
