Music and the Messiah

Monday, November 29 Music and the Messiah Day 1 Genesis 3:14-15 God told the serpent; “Because you have done this, you’re cursed, cursed beyond all cattle and wild animals, cursed to slink on your belly and dirt all your life. I’m declaring war between you and the Woman, between your offspring and hers. He’ll wound your head, you’ll wound his heel.” 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm them, and do not let yourselves be burdened again with a yoke of slavery. O Come, Emmanuel – sung by King and Country “O come, O come, Emmanuel
 And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.” O come, Thou rod of Jesse, free Thine own from Satan’s tyranny; From depths of hell Thy people save, And give them victory o’er the grave. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to the, O Israel. Song Link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I7kciPPX92k Heavenly and Gracious Father, We wait in great anticipation to celebrate the gift of Christ Jesus, your son, the Savior of the world.. It's mind boggling to think of the sacrifice made on behalf of sinners that did nothing to deserve it . As the song says, "From the depths of hell Thy people save". When we focus on what that line means and what our lives could be without you, there are no words to adequately express our gratitude. You saved us from death. Help us to see this holiday season with new eyes that look beyond the hustle and bustle we all know. Help us to slow down enough to simply focus on praising and worshiping you through the beautiful music we will be listening each day. "Rejoice! Rejoice !Emmanuel Shall come to Thee, O Israel ." In Your name we pray, Amen.
