March to the Cross- Jesus: King of Glory

Tuesday, March 2

Jesus: King of Glory

Focus: Jesus’ divine radiance fills heaven’s throne room, now and forever.

Today’s verses:

Psalm 24:10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of Hosts, He is the King of glory.

Ezekiel 1:27-28 …and there was a radiance around Him. As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

Revelation 1:16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

When I think of God as King of Glory, I imagine God’s mighty power as our King yet filled with compassion and peace. I picture Him surrounded by a bright light for us to see the way. He is in His throne room welcoming us with open arms and is majestic in holiness. As a matter of fact, I can’t even imagine anything else on earth comparing to this splendor and radiance.

What intrigues you about the King’s glorious throne room?

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we worship you today, we want to pause in awe of your glory, radiance and majesty.

And, as we continue our march closer to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our sake, may our heads be lifted up in praise. Bring us closer to you each day of this journey. In your son’s name we pray. Amen
