March to the Cross - Friday Wrap-Up

Scripture: Psalm 27: 13-14

I'm getting really excited about Easter. In a year when we've needed Jesus more than any other time I can remember, I'm sure ready to celebrate Him big time.

March to the Cross is such a great title for an Easter study. We know what we're moving towards. Thank goodness, we also know that it doesn't end with a cross. On Easter Sunday, Jesus rose from the dead. Because He lives after death, we get to live too. Ladies, I mean that we get to really live.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself. I really wanted to find a teaching segment, a podcast, or a sermon that would tell the story of our scripture from this week only. But, I can't get away from this song. It tells the whole story of Easter, and I can't hear it without tears.

Since we all know how this ends anyway, let's spend today listening to the fulness of the story through song. Go back through our devotions from Monday through Thursday. Celebrate the King of Kings. Why wait till Easter Sunday! Let's start early. :)

King Jesus, the Bible says that if all the stories of You while You walked on this Earth were written there wouldn't be a book big enough to hold them. I believe it! That's ok, because the stories we get to read are enough. Thank you for being a king that no one expected and that we still can't fully figure out. We believe that you lived and died for all of us. So, when we celebrate Your resurrected life, we get to celebrate ours too. There's no circumstance in this life that can threaten to steal our joy, our peace, our LIFE. Because You live, we will live. Thank you! As we march on to the cross, remind us each and every day of the love you have for us. I pray it changes us in a way that changes our surroundings. Amen.
