Jesus: King of Creation
Focus: Jesus created everything in heaven and on earth.
Today’s verses:
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
Col. 1:15-16 And He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all thing have been created by Him and for Him.
Hebrews 1:2 But in these last days God has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He also made the world.
Oh wow! I have loved the first two days and all the discussion going on amongst us in the comments! The word of God is so powerful, is it not? We have observed Jesus as both King Eternal and as King of Glory. Today we see him as the King of Creation.
This morning at my daughter's house, I looked out the front window and saw the moon just before dawn; and then moments later, I looked out her back window, and there was the sun making its radiant appearance. Because I had looked at these verses in order to write this post, I just kept saying, "Wow, Jesus, you made that big round white moon right there ... and whoa Jesus, you made that bright orange sun that's about to rise up in the sky...AND... you ALSO came to the earth you made... and you walked as the God-Man...to be near us and to save us!" Amazing ability, amazing love.

Dear Lord,
I praise you for your handiwork! I love pink sunsets splayed across the sky. I love the colors you chose for the fall season. I love most every kind of dog. And I love the unique variety of PEOPLE you placed on this earth! You amaze me at your creativity, your intricate detail, and your overwhelming grandeur. My Soul Sisters and I worship you today, Creator of all. Amen.
