Do you have meaningful songs for various seasons of life? I have so many. You won’t be surprised to hear that I contemplated listing all of them. Oh man! They have impacted me so much, and I want to share. There are just too many.

So, I’m going to share one. This song got me through a difficult transition. It’s crazy, because the transition we were experiencing was a happy one. My husband and I moved from “married without children,” to “married with children.” In that change, I gave up a third-grade classroom to be a stay-at-home mom. This was a something I’d been looking forward to for a lot of years. Naturally, I wasn’t expecting this to be difficult at all. It was!

As it turns out, I had a lot of selfishness in me. I was filled with ideas about how we would operate as a family, how my infant would sleep, and how my husband would “help.” Thankfully, the Lord rescued me early with this song. I began to plead with The Potter to make me and mold me into His creation. On occasion, I return to this song. When I can feel my pride rising up to fight for my way, I play this song on repeat. I hope you enjoy.
