Journeying with Resurrected Jesus in Power

Well, we've come to the end of the road where I pray we've discovered it doesn't actually end. While the disciples on the Road to Emmaus had a start and an end in Scripture, I believe they traveled a journey before Luke 24 and continued in beautiful ways after. No doubt, though, the interactions we got to witness in their path impacted their lives forever.
We will do the same. We've journeyed with Jesus through Lent, and our Eastertide study took us on a further journey with resurrected Jesus. It comes to a close today, but the lessons we've learned can impact and instruct what's to come.
Before we move on, I want to look at one last verse in our story,
"Then the two disciples told the others what had happened to them on the road to Emmaus and how Jesus had unveiled himself in the breaking of bread." Luke 24:35
We all know that Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of God's promise to never leave us. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus is always with us. However, sometimes, our journeys are marked with an unveiling. Often, Jesus chooses to uncover Himself in miraculous ways; through circumstances, through people, and through the study of His Word.
Today, for our "fun Friday" activity, I would love for you to share one of the ways God, through Christ, has unveiled Himself to you through our study. At the end of Bible studies, I typically have one, big message that is a take-away. I'm curious. What is yours from our Emmaus Road experience? Just like the disciples in verse 35, tell us a little of what has happened to you on this journey.
I have loved traveling with you, ladies. As we prepare to pray our Emmaus journey prayer one last time, please ask God to mark your heart with Himself in ways only He can do. And, I look forward to "seeing" you on Monday in the pages of "Looking for Lovely."
Jesus, thank you for journeying with us. Sometimes we don't recognize You, but we believe You are here. There are times when we are sad, disappointed, and even a little lost in this world, because the expectations of our humanity get in the way. When You make yourself very evident, though, our hearts burn within us. Will you help us to recognize that and trust it. Your presence can make us brave. Today, we commit ourselves to You. We want to be transformed by Your presence in our lives and Your power in our bodies. We belong to You, and that Truth makes us glad. Amen.
