Journeying with Resurrected Jesus in Power

Read Acts 2 entirely if you have time today. I shared the first four verses with you on Monday. But, the chapter is FULL of beautiful details that lead to the birth of Christ's Church.

I've been singing this song for week's in preparation for our Acts 2 lesson and Pentecost. I am so glad to be able to share it with you now. I realize most of us have been singing along to this song for years now. However, if you'll listen to every word like you're one of the Emmaus Road disciples at Pentecost, I bet you'll be moved to tears more than once.

Jesus, thank you for journeying with us. Sometimes we don't recognize You, but we believe You are here. There are times when we are sad, disappointed, and even a little lost in this world, because the expectations of our humanity get in the way. When You make yourself very evident, though, our hearts burn within us. Will you help us to recognize that and trust it. Your presence can make us brave. Today, we commit ourselves to You. We want to be transformed by Your presence in our lives and Your power in our bodies. We belong to You, and that Truth makes us glad. Amen.
