Who is this Jesus?

Jesus is the Lamb of God

And Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb…Genesis 22:8

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, “Go and take for yourselves lambs according to your families, and slay the Passover lamb…and apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts…and when the Lord sees the blood…he will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.” Exodus 12:21-31

(John) saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 1 Peter 1:18-19

He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so he did not open his mouth.

Isaiah 53:7

My Child,

I am the Lamb of God. Your sin must be dealt with before you can enter my Father’s holy presence; and because I am holy, I am the only One who can settle the matter. My blood shed at the cross covered you so that you then could also become holy in God’s sight. Accept my sacrifice, as your sacrifice…and live with me forever.

Immanuel

Music with a message: O Holy Night - Hometown

Dear Lord, thank you for being the Lamb of the World! Thank you, Jesus, taking away the sins of the world with your sacrificial blood. In this time of Christmas, as we celebrate your birth...may we not forget that you lived to make the ultimate sacrifice. We love you and thank you Lord. In Jesus' name and for the Father's glory we pray. Amen
