Christmas Devotional

Why did Jesus come?

Jesus came to give us hope.

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven charter, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5

God willed to make known…this mystery…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. 1 Timothy 4:10

This I recall to mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in hm.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the person who seeks him. Lamentations 3:21-15

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:13

My Child,

I came to give you hope. When I am iving and reigning in you, you can face today, tomorrow, and forever. Let me walk with you today so that I can fill your heart with song. Also, remember this is not your home. Live with the great anticipation that you will someday enter heaven… a place that possesses “an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison” (2 Corinthians 4:17). Live on earth, with the hope of heaven in your heart.

Immanuel
