Christmas Devotional

Monday, December 19 Christmas Devotional Why did Jesus come? Jesus came to give us peace. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. John 14:27 The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29:11 The steadfast of mind you will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 For he himself is our peace…. Ephesians 2:14 My Child, I came to give you peace. No other meditation rituals or mind-practices can compare to the serenity I can give your soul. The more you understand who I am in my word, the more you will crave the quietness that only I can give. Hear me say to you each day, “In repentance and rest you shall be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15). Immanuel Peace on Earth - Austin French https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YMNAdta9wTo Heavenly Father, All of the words we have just read are so true. Nothing else we will ever encounter can give peace the way you do. Even when things on this earth are a mess in every way, we can come to you and lay it all at your feet, walking away with a peace that surpasses all comprehension. Today we ask that you quiet our hearts and minds and still our bodies so we may experience this great and wonderful gift you give. Help us to change our attitudes right now from the busy we tend to bring on ourselves during this month to a mindset of calm. Thank you Father, for all you have done for us. Amen
