Who is this Jesus?

Jesus is the Son of God, One with God

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:4-6

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who although he existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:2-5

Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” John 10:30

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and man, the man Jesus Christ who gave himself a ransom for all… Hebrews 1:3

My Child,

I am the Son of God. All the majesty and power that exists in God, my Father also dwells in me. I came to earth to be the bearer of his invisible image (Col. 1:15). Look to me, my character, as I walked my life on earth, and you will see God. Learn from me, and you will find peace.

Immanuel

Dear Jesus,

You are the Son of God! You are One with God! Thank you for leaving everything behind and coming to us so we can have an up-close picture of your character. In doing so, you emptied yourself of royalty and exchanged it for rags so you could identify with us. You entered our mess for the purpose of saving us from it. How can we thank you enough? May we worship you with fullness of heart concerning these beautiful truths. Amen.
