Day 5 - Because He Said So - I am Rescued

Just over 20 years ago, on June 4, 2002, Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped from her home. For 9 months she was held captive by Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Elaine Barzee. She was rescued on March 12, 2003. The nation was captivated when "The girl who was kidnapped" was found.

I remember seeing a video of Elizabeth years after her kidnapping where she shared some advice her mom gave her after she was rescured. She shared how her mom acknowledged that what had happened to her was evil. But that the best punishment that she could ever give her captors was to live her life to the fullest, to live in joy, to move forward toward the callings of her life.

Sister, I am here to tell you. That you ARE rescued! So my question is, will you take the advice of the mom of "the girl who was kidnapped" and live your life to the fullest, live in joy, and move forward with the callings of your life! I know that there is nothing that the enemy would love more for you to hold on to the hurts from whatever held you captive.

You are rescued...because He said so!
