ACTS: A Way to Pray

Exodus 15: 1-3

Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying, “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name.”

Adoration:

Heavenly Father, I praise You. You are my strength and my song! Just as You showed your triumphant strength and salvation to Israel at the Red Sea, You are my salvation today. You showed Your love to me in giving Your Son Jesus to die in my place. You are my God. I will praise You every day. I will exalt Your name before others so that they can come to know You as their Lord and their God.

Confession:

Lord forgive me for forgetting that You fight for me every day. You protect me from physical dangers and spiritual attacks that I am not even aware of as well as the ones I recognize. I confess that I often fail to exalt You before others and tell of the amazing things You have done and can do through Your loving power.

Thanksgiving:

I thank You, God, that You are stronger than the enemy, Satan, and greater than anything that can come against me. Thank you that You rescue me every time—even from my own mistakes. I am always safe in Your arms.

Supplication:

God, let me grow more confident in Your power, knowing that You are my strength when I feel weak. Let me rejoice daily in Your salvation, for it is proof of Your love for me. Please protect those friends and family that I love. Help me rely on You for protection, knowing that You alone know the opposition that is against me as I run the race You have called me to, and that You will defeat the enemy every time! In Jesus' name and for the Father's glory. Amen.

Use these verses and ACTS to write your own personal prayer in your journal.

Sisters, will you share how it makes you feel to know that God is your protection and strength? Do you have any other scriptures or practices to remind you that God has you in the palm of His hand?
