ACTS
James 1: 3-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Adoration:
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the Giver of Wisdom. You are generous in all ways and never cease to amaze me with your endless giving and compassion.
Confession:
I confess my lack of faith and my doublemindedness (which wavers between wanting both my own way and your way). Forgive me for reading your promises of wisdom and not keeping them close to my heart and for disobeying your direction.
Thanksgiving:
Thank you, God, for your generosity and desire to give good gifts. I am grateful for everything and everyone you put in my life. Thank you for your wisdom and for being our Unshakeable Rock.
Supplication:
I ask you for a heart that does not waver nor doubt your ways. Help me to set my heart and eyes on you each day- from morning to night. I don’t want to miss your direction, calling, blessings or anything you have in store for me and growing your kingdom.
Use these verses and ACTS to write your own personal prayer in your journal.
Did James 1:3-8 prompt you to ask God for wisdom; and if so, will you commit to faith without doubting that he will provide?
