Made For This -- "End of the Mundane"

We declare God's wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Corinthians 2:7

Please read pages 263 through 265 in Made For This, and I dare you not to tear up a little bit.

OH, girls! I have loved studying this material with you so much! Even from a distance, I've felt the weight of importance that this material holds. There's simply nothing mundane about these lives that we live. I'll never believe it. As believers, we walk around with the Spirit of the LIVING GOD inside of us. We just never know what might happen.

Today, I helped to calm an anxious soul, delivered difficult news to a 3-year-old parent, updated a group of PK teachers on licensing information (yuck), and prepared a classroom for teenagers on Monday. There are millions of people in the world that are doing work that may seem more important. But,

What if the owner of that anxious soul was healed by the message God spoke through His Spirit in me?

What if that PK3 child grows up to be the next Billy Graham, or US President, or a doctor that cures cancer and my words to his mama offered the courage needed to carry on?

What if carrying through with the mundane (& often dumb) tasks of keeping up with licensing guidelines with a joyful heart prompts another person to do all of life's chores as unto the Lord and not for men?

And, what if I get the pleasure of teaching Bible to a young man or woman that would never have been able to hear and understand the Gospel of Christ outside of my words and my teaching style?

See, we just don't know what God has in store! And, we won't ever know if we don't treat every day and every opportunity with the holy anticipation of what we get to participate with Him to do. If you feel restless for more, I'm certain it's because there is more. You don't need more, though. His divine power has given everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). You (We) just need to pick up the baton and GO!

I pray you will. I'm cheering for you from a distance and praying I get to hear some of the details one day. You were made on purpose and for a purpose, sister. Now, go and live it!

Finish up the personal work of this journey on pages 266 and 267. Then, end your day by writing out your very own prayer to Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith.

I'm proud of you for finishing what you started and celebrating the fact that The One who calls us is faithful, and He will do it. (1 Thess. 5:24)
