Forty Days of Praise: Problem Solver

And Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.

Jonah 1:17

Heartbeat of God, page 154

God knows all things. He sees the beginning, the middle, and the end. Nothing is too difficult for Him. I want to approach this post a little differently. I am going to give key phrases and attach scripture to those phrases. I hope this is good resource information applicable for such a time as this.

God is Omnipotent: God is able to solve my problem (Ephesians 3:20). Nothing is too hard for Him (Genesis 18:14). and no problem is too big. Through Him I can do all things(Philippians 4:13).

God is Omniscient: He knows all about my problem and He knows it’s solution. Also He knows how much I can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

God is Omnipresent: As I face this problem He is with me and in me (Galatians 2:20). He will never leave nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). He never asked me to solve the problem by myself (Exodus 14:14). The living God will help me through the problem (Hebrews 13:5-6; Isaiah 41:10; Matthew 28:20)

God is Immutable (never changes): The same God that saved me (solved my BIGGEST problem) is able to help me in whatever lesser problem I must face. The God that helped David, Daniel, Paul, etc. in their problems is the same God that helps me. I can always count on God to be God (Hebrews 13:8).

God is Sovereign: He is in complete control of the situation. He allowed the problem to come and it’s in His hands( Romans 8:28).

God is faithful: As I trust God for the solution for this problem He will not fail me. His promises cannot fail. I can count on God in this situation (2 Corinthians1:20). God is absolutely trustworthy, dependable, and reliable.

God is Good: In the midst of my problem and difficulty, God wants to make me more like His son (Romans 8:28-29). No matter the difficulty, I can praise Him for His goodness (Psalm 107:8,15).

God is Love: God wants to communicate Himself to me in the problem. There is no problem, no matter how great, that can separate me from His love (Romans 8: 35-39). He wants only His highest and best for me.

I’m not going to add additional scripture to read- this is enough for the day. Take some time meditate on these truths and scriptures today or anytime you find yourself in the midst of problems. We know He is all these things and more…

God You are my Problem Solver. First of all we praise You for Your word that we can refer to anytime and anyplace. We praise You for all these truths we have listed above especially today as we collectively find our world with problems of health scares, potential financial loss, difficult living situations, new ‘homeschooling challenges”, loneliness , and general fear of the unknown. We willingly release these problems to You and now more than ever recognize we are not the ones with the answers. We ask for Your intervention. We also ask that You continue to refine us in our faith and use this time to grow us as believers. We ask that this light You have given us will extend to others in a way they will see and receive You. Make this time of “slow down” deeply rich and meaningful in a new way. Amen.
