We Go: Even When It's Hard

We are each His beautiful and unique vessel, called to pour out the light and love of Christ; therefore WE GO…

Revelation 12:11

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

When I was in my early 20’s I had two small children and was going through a divorce. I was in a relationship and I got pregnant. I couldn’t tell my parents and I told myself I couldn’t raise another child alone. The lies were so loud and coming at me from every angle, they became my reality! I did the unthinkable. I had an abortion. I was devastated. What had I done? I had taken advantage of God’s grace. I still remember asking for His forgiveness as I walked out of the clinic. The guilt and the shame became my clothing, my definition.

I was a used, dirty rag.

I was scared and alone.

I was a failure.

I was rejected.

Even today, as I write the hard part of my story my heart cringes. But here’s the GOOD NEWS! My Pastor shared a sermon about the sin of abortion. He asked us to stand up if abortion was a part of our story. He shared that there was healing because of Jesus! I have hope in Christ! I knew in my spirit that I couldn’t keep quiet about my story any more.

Since that day I have been on a healing journey that is ever unfolding before me. I give God the glory and I have been given the opportunity to honor my child’s life by sharing our story. Because of Jesus …

I am clean.

I am worthy of love.

I am redeemed.

I am a new creation.

My worth is in Jesus Christ simply because I am His.

My calling from the Lord is to GO & share the healing journey with women.

God has also placed it on my heart to share resources and tools with Pastors.

Sweet Sisters, if you know someone who has had an abortion, please let them know how loved they are. Listen to their stories. Refer them to someone who can help them. I can help you with that. Message me! If you are hurting, please know that God sees your pain. He knows all about what happened and He offers His love and forgiveness. Let Him heal you from the inside out.

Most Gracious Heavenly Father, thank you for the grace to share this story. May someone’s future be different because we share our past! Thank you for the redeeming love of Christ that covers all circumstances. I will forever be grateful for Your healing! Help us see each other and ourselves as you see us. Father, you’ve worked a miracle in my life! Thank you for allowing me to pass it on. I love you, Father! In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
