Made For This -- "Fight For It"

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:3

Please read pages 231 through 235 in Made For This. I can't believe we are almost to our very last week. What a joy you all have been. Dig in and study today. Let's learn how to fight.

We fight fear, because we don't belong to the one who shrinks back; we belong to the One who move through His blood and sweat and despair and fear and reluctance in the garden of Gethsemane and said, "Not my will, but Yours be done."

We fight uncertainty, because there is so much more that we are certain of. I love to listen to this song from Passion, because it names the things we know to be true about our God. Why would I focus on what I don't know when the things I do know are so important and life changing.

We fight distraction, because our God is a God of order and not chaos. We simply do not want to miss the only thing because of all the small things.

We fight insecurity, because the power of the Living God lives inside of us. Insecurity comes when we focus on ourselves. Security in the power of a God who loves us makes us bold.

We fight comparison when we know and understand that we are cared for by a God that does not lack any good thing. He has plenty. So, I can cheer for my brother/sister. Their victory doesn't have to mean my defeat.

Respond, read, and reflect on pages 236 and 237. I think we all have plenty to think on this weekend. Listen to this song as often as you can. This we know..... Our God is good! He has plans and purposes for our lives that are good! He will not withhold any god thing from the one that loves Him. As we seek Him for guidance, He will be faithful and true.

God, thank you for being our certain Guide, Caretaker, Father, and Rescuer. We can try new things and dream for more, because You will go with us wherever we go and in whatever we do.
