God promises to give us forgiveness
"Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love." Micah 7:18
All promises are fulfilled in Christ.
Please read Mark 2:1-12.
Depending on where I am in life, my heart is moved in different ways when I read the story of a group of men bringing a paralyzed man to Jesus and cutting a hole in the roof to lower him down to meet Jesus. Some of the lessons are those of faith, determination, forgiveness, healing and proclaiming God’s Message. I love the story and all that it offers in our personal lives right here, right now, especially the message of healing. Our God is indeed the Mighty Healer. He is the healer of our physical body, but more importantly, he is the healer of our sins.
Today let’s focus on God’s promise of forgiveness and how he does not retain his anger because of our sins. Our relationship with God started with Him loving us first. He remains faithful to his promise to love us and forgive us regardless of what we do. Have you ever doubted God’s forgiveness for something you did? Do you think He is still angry with you today? If so, find peace knowing that he made a commitment to his children and will never stop loving us and healing us from our sins.
As we study God’s promises we can be reassured that His word is alive and active today. He is always near and has a personal passion for each one us. His forgiveness is never-ending. His faithfulness is clear.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We praise you for being our Healer. We praise you for the wonderful physical healings you have given and continue to give, but we look ultimately to your promise of healing from our sins, something that lasts forever. Praise you, God, our sins are forgiven!
