Forty Days of Praise -- The One Who Brings Good From Calamity

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

The Heartbeat of God: p. 77

What a timely post! Our world is in a bit of calamity today. When the world is in a panic, it becomes really hard to remain calm and centered. We can, though, because our God brings GOOD from calamity. Always.

A scary diagnosis, a betrayal, a job loss, or a threat of a virus spread can cause fear and panic to consume us. The natural tendency in any of these instances is to freak out. BUT, as believers in a God for whom all things are possible, we get to look at calamity as an opportunity for Him to do good towards us.

Ladies, we trust in a miracle working God, so must not fear. :)

I’m sharing a message again, because I believe a weekend is a wonderful time to listen to a gifted speaker share a message from God’s Word. This particular message has made an impact on me. Carl Lentz’ perspective of peace has resonated within me, and I’m excited for you to hear it.

Praise: God, You are the One Who Brings Good from Calamity, and we are choosing to trust You today. There are plenty of things going on in our world right now that are big enough to steal our joy and cause us to panic. But, we don’t fight calamity with fear. We fight it with gratitude and trust in You. Strengthen us as we learn to trust you more. We understand that we will face trials, and struggles, and battles in this world. Today, though, we confess and claim that YOU have overcome it all.
