Forty Days of Praise: The God Who Silences the Enemy

Then Daniel spoke to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me. Daniel 6:21-22

I have the great joy of teaching a high school Bible class each day. We are working our way through the book of Joshua. Recently, we finished the chapter that recorded the Israelite's victory over 31 kings. That's a LOT of battles with a LOT of enemies.

In my Wednesday night Bible study, we are looking at the armor of God. It is becoming very apparent that we fight just as many spiritual battles as the Israelites did in Joshua only we have one, single Enemy that disguises himself many different ways.

What would life look like if we truly believed with an active kind of belief that God silences our Enemy? The same God that shut the mouths of the lions in Daniel has won the battle over our Enemy tool.

I pray you've had a wonderful week of praising God for all that He is. As you ponder the truth that He's God over your Enemy, I'm going to ask you to watch this message by Priscilla Shirer. I believe you'll be blessed, encouraged, and convicted to link arms with Your Father to silence the Enemy's activity in your life just like I have been.

For further reading: Psalm 61:2-3; Hebrews 4:12; Matthew 4:1-11; Ephesians 6:16-17; Isaiah 54:17

Praise: God, You are the One Who Silences the Enemy, so we will not fear. We will suit up and fight covered in Your armor. We believe that no weapon formed against us will prosper and that every evil thing set against us will be condemned. Therefore, we will wage war against anything that attempts to sidetrack us from the plans you have for us. Thank you for the truth of Your Word and the power of Your voice.
