The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock. Isaiah 26: 3-4
(Heartbeat of God, p. 355)
Isaiah chapter 26 is a continuation of the song of praise to God. Isaiah gives all praise to God the Rock Eternal for a great city to come. After hearing this message, I pray that we too can join in singing God’s praises.
With all that is going on in the world right now, and all that we are facing with diseases (and viruses), political debates, crime, natural disasters, racial tensions, unstable economies, and on and on, we need the one true source who is steady and calm to ground us in times like these. We need a firm foundation. We need to lean on Him, our Rock Eternal for rest and peace. He is strong, reliable, never-changing, always there to protect us from the storms of this world.
Depending on what you are going through in life right now, you may be praising our Rock Eternal in many ways. God may be your Rock as the solid thing in your life, the sure thing, everlasting strength, foundation, refuge or fortress. In all ways, He is the one who saves!
As we give thanks to Our Rock Eternal for all the ways He protects, provides and directs us, let’s also praise Him as the God we trust in. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation. It is through Him that we find peace. This is a peace that surpasses all understanding, a perfect peace. There isn’t anywhere else in the world that can give you the kind of peace that God offers you today. It is in Him, our Rock Eternal that I put my trust.

God, You are the Rock Eternal. May your name be exalted forever. Because of you, in whom we take refuge, we shall not fear or worry. We put our trust in you knowing your works are perfect, and your ways are just. As your Word directs in Psalm 95:1, “let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” Amen
