Ruth: Week 3 Wrap-Up

Happy Friday!

Currently, I’m leading a group of women through a study of Esther at my church. We meet every Wednesday night and study the life of this young girl turned queen. As I look at our study of Ruth here this week, I’m amazed at the favor God showered on both women. Esther won the contest and became Queen and Favor brought Ruth the attention of Boaz. When God has a plan, He will make even the most obscure candidate extremely noticeable. We can rest in that truth!

We look for favor and wish for favor and are sure God’s favor could bring us all we’ve ever hoped for. Yet, both stories (Esther and Ruth) allow us to see that sometimes favor brings huge responsibility. I’m not sure what yours are. But, I know living the life God planned for us will be tough. ”But, who knows if you were called for such a time as this?.” Esther 4:14

I wanted to share this sermon with you that I heard over the summer. I wanted to find a way to include it in the Audacious study and it never worked. I pray it encourages you in a meaningful way over the weekend.

Heavenly Father, I’m asking you to shower us with your favor today. Also, give us the courage and wisdom to live boldly... doing the hard things that accompany your favor. We want to be positive and gracious carriers of Your great Name in all that we do.
