Who is this Jesus and Why did He come? Jesus is THE SAVIOR

Monday, November 26th

Welcome to Day 1 of our Christmas Devotional. I hope you enjoy reading God's word as it is presented the next 25 days, and get to know Him in a deeper, more intimate way.

Let's get started:

Who is this Jesus and Why did HE come ?

Jesus is The Savior

Isaiah 45:21b-22

And there is no other God besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none except Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

Matthew 1:21

And she (Mary) will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus... for it is He who will save His people from their sins.

I John 4:14-15

And we beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God.

I Timothy 1: 15

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.

Titus 3:4-5

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

My Child,

I am your Savior. No one else can rescue you from the darkness and evil in this world. I am here for you ; call on Me and I will come to you. I am mighty to save.

Immanuel

Heavenly Father, We come to You in praise and celebration for Who You are and Why You came. Thank You for continually seeking us and never, not for a minute, giving up on us. Your word says we are saved not on the basis of our deeds but "by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit". Give us pause this season to ponder what the gift of Your son means to each one of us. May we be a light for You in this world to those who do not yet know You. Thank You, Jesus, for loving us enough to give Your own life by taking the punishment of all the sin, past, present, and future with You. Amen
