Free to Love, Day 1

Monday, August 20th

What a great topic last week: Free to be Brave. It's a wonderful precursor to this week's focus, Free to Love. Let's face it, sometimes it's easy to love, but sometimes it's not. To love well means we are both honest and vulnerable, and that can be both scary and uncomfortable, so much so, that we would rather not "go there" with someone. I'm asking the Lord to show each one of us one particular relationship that we can focus on this week in order to freely love in new and beautiful ways. I'm also asking Him to reveal His matchless love to each one of us personally. We must remember, it is HIS love towards us that fuels our love towards others.

Read chapter 14 of You Are Free, Free to Love.

Take some quiet time to do these three things:

1. Highlight or journal statements that make an impact as you read. 2. Write out any questions that you have. 3. Pray that God will reveal areas of bondage and lead you to freedom during this week’s study.

Dear Lord God, I ask You this week to reveal Yourself to each and every Soul Sister in very sweet and personal ways. Overwhelm us with Your intentional love, I pray. Take away anything in our hearts (fears, doubts, wounds from the past) that keeps us from opening up fully and freely to what You have to offer us. Your love prevails; resurrect our hearts I pray! Also dear Lord, please put a specific individual in our minds that You know needs to be touched by Your love through us, then please give us a willing and brave heart to follow through. In Your powerful Name, Amen.
