Free to Be Brave, Day 5

We have covered a lot of ground on freedom to be brave this week. Do you look at courage and bravery differently now and see how freeing it can be when we walk in faith? I sure do!!

Today, we will consider the questions at the end of the chapter. Take time to read back over scripture from the week and notes from the chapter while answering these questions for self discovery.

  1. What women do you see walking in the freedom of bravery? List their attributes. Do you see similar attributes in yourself, even ones you might be hiding? If so, identify them. Write down three attributes you’d like to grow over the next month.

  2. Identify an area or two of your life in which you know there is fear. Are there ways you could engage your fear in baby steps? Little by little? Day by day? List ways you’d like to approach transforming your fear into freedom.

  3. What keeps you locked into fear? What are the obstacles that keep you from walking forward bravely? I invite you to write out a prayer of confession of those barriers. Ask God to take them and replace them with his strength and courage.

Prayer for Soul Sisters:

Dear Father of Freedom,

Thank you for this week with my Soul Sisters as we dug deeper into bravery and courage to do your will. I never want to forget that You are my Strength, Fortress and Strong Tower. You raise me up to overcome everything that tries to pull me away from You. I praise you for that strength and courage as I walk this journey….one step at a time…. falling into you and your plan. Give me all that I need today and every day to have courage, be brave and finally break every chain of fear.

I pray this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen
