If you are a part of this Facebook group , I thank each of you for your comments this week, If you are a woman seeking Christ who is reading this on the blog, you might consider joining this group on Facebook. The comments are so incredible : they are real, vulnerable, and full of wisdom that aid in growth . There are many moments I read comments I must jot down and want to commit to memory. You all just do not disappoint.
Today, we will consider the questions at the end of the chapter. Take time to read back over scripture from the week and the notes from the chapter while answering these questions for self discovery.
1. Have you walked through a season of something hard? Are you still in the middle of it? Write down what makes it feel so difficult.
2. When was the last time you felt sheer joy? What was it like? What were you doing? Who were you with? Journal about this experience.
3. Do you ever find yourself resisting joy or feeling guilty for experiencing joy? Why? Consider writing out a confession asking God to reveal anything you are withholding from Him- any sin, any weight, any burden. Ask Him to help you and restore the joy of your salvation.
4. Make a list of all the ways God has blessed you. Give joyful thanks for each of these areas of blessing . Celebrate God's goodness!
Dear Heavenly Father, How can we begin to thank You for each blessings You have given us? Please help bring to each of our minds all that we take for granted and recognize these as gifts we did not earn. When we find ourselves in a hard season, please let us NOT forget what we have learned this week .You are our salvation. You will not abandon us. You restore where there is brokenness. You will continue to love us despite our faults. You are our hope .You are our joy. You offer freedom for us to celebrate. Together, may we celebrate the joy we find in You. Amen.
